Home School Community Liaison Officer

The role of the Home School Community Liaison (HSCL) is to encourage, support and facilitate partnerships between parents and the school.
Our HSCL works with parents in many different ways to develop their capacity as a key resource in their children’s learning.
Parent involvement in the school community is a major focus for our HSCL and they organise different activities such as:

  • Parent Classes: Make Up, Well-being, Yoga, IT skills to name a few.
  • Science for Fun
  • Big Book Participation
  • Games for Fun
  • Coffee Mornings
  • International Day

Our HSCL makes home visits to families for many reasons and also liaises with outside agencies including Tusla Education Support Services (TESS), The Education Welfare Service (EWS), School Completion Programme (SCP) and the Child and Family Support Network (CFSN).
