Pre & Afterschool Care

The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme provides early childhood care and education for children of pre-school age.

Children can avail of the ECCE Scheme when they are 2 years and 8 months of age and continue until they transfer to primary school (provided that they are not older than 5 years and 6 months at the end of the pre-school year).

The ECCE Scheme is available to all parents, irrespective of their income.  Children who avail of ECCE at SALI Childcare will be more likely to be ready for school and a formal and social environment.

If your child is not eligible for the free pre-school year you can still register your child to attend pre-school at a reduced cost through the National Childcare Scheme.

You may get financial support from the National Childcare Scheme (NCS) towards the cost of childcare for the hours spent outside of ECCE.

Your child cannot be enrolled in the ECCE Programme and Early Start Programme at the same time.

Our after-school services are available to children aged 4 to 12 years. School parents can drop children to SALI Childcare where they will be provided with breakfast and then taken to school.

SALI Childcare provides a relaxing environment for children to unwind after their day at school or while on days off. Staff supervise homework, provide children with a hot meal and also organise a range of activities that include Art and Crafts, Music and Dance, PE, Baking, ICT and much more.

SALI Childcare also operates under the CETS Scheme. Free childcare places are available to eligible FAS and VEC trainees under the Childcare Education and Training Support Scheme.
