Since its foundation in 1875, Mercy Primary has been proud to prepare our children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation.

The Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion are normally celebrated by children in Second class, whilst Confirmation is normally celebrated by children in Fifth or Sixth class.

The children prepare for these special days with guidance from the Parish team and from our class teachers. Parents are warmly encouraged to participate in the preparation for these special days.

The ceremonies are normally held in the beautiful Franciscan Abbey opposite our school where our school choir and band perform as part of the celebrations.
